Shape Shifter: The Transformation Challenge

• The Mission:

  1. Watch objects move in the lab and identify the math behind the movement.

  2. Did it Slide, Turn, or Flip?

     
     

• Math Skills:

  1. Translation: A slide to a new spot without turning.

  2. Rotation: A turn around a center point.

  3. Reflection: A mirror image flip.

     
     

• How to Play:

  1. Watch: Observe the shape move from Position A to Position B.

  2. Get Clue: Not sure? Click the "Help" button  to see animations of each move type.

  3. Select: Choose Translation, Rotation, or Reflection.
