The Mission:
You are a sniper tasked with "pruning" numbers to meet strict scientific standards. Your mission is to modify a raw number so that it retains exactly the requested number of Significant Figures (Sig Figs). You must decide which digits to keep, which to remove, and which to round up!
Math Skills:
Significant Figures: Identifying which digits carry meaning (e.g., leading zeros don't count, trapped zeros do).
Rounding: Deciding when to increase a digit value to keep the number accurate.
Scientific Notation Concepts: Understanding how precision works in decimals.
How to Play:
Check the Mission: Look at the top of the screen (e.g., "MISSION: KEEP 2 SIGNIFICANT FIGURES").
Analyze the Number: Use the Ghost View (Eye Icon) button to see which zeros are "ghosts" (not significant) and which are real.
Modify the Digits:
DESTROY Mode (Reticle): Click a digit to remove it completely.
+1 Mode (Plus): Click a digit to increase its value (useful for rounding up!).
= 0 Mode (Zero): Turn a digit into a zero without removing its place value.
Submit: Once you believe the number has the correct amount of significant figures, click the FINISH button.
