The Mission:
Test if a set of three side lengths forms a right-angled triangle! Use the converse of the Pythagorean theorem to verify the shape.
Math Skills:
Converse of the Pythagorean Theorem: Checking if a^2 + b^2 = c^2 holds true.
Identifying the Hypotenuse: Knowing that the longest side must always be 'c'.
Squaring Numbers: Multiplying a number by itself.
How to Play:
Look at the three number tiles provided on the screen.
Drag the tiles into the Left Hand Side (L.H.S.) slots for the two shorter legs, and the Right Hand Side (R.H.S.) slot for the longest side.
The game will automatically calculate the squares and sums. Based on the live calculations, click Yes or No to declare if it is a true right-angled triangle.
Click the Next Project button to try another set of numbers.
