Painted Cubes: 3D Exploder

The Mission:

A large cube is painted on the outside and then chopped into smaller blocks. Your mission is to explore the 3D model and figure out how many faces of the smaller blocks have paint on them!

Math Skills:

3D Geometry: Understanding the faces, edges, and corners of a cube.
Spatial Visualization: Mentally breaking apart a 3D object to see its inner components.
Counting Strategies: Deducing amounts without manually counting every single piece.

How to Play:

Select the Cube Size (e.g., 3x3x3 or 4x4x4) using the dropdown menu.
Drag the Explode Slider to physically pull the smaller cubes apart and see inside! Drag the Opacity Slider to make the unpainted parts transparent.
Click the Filter Buttons (e.g., "3 Faces Painted" or "0 Faces Painted") to highlight specific cubes and instantly see their total count.
Click and drag the canvas to rotate the 3D model and inspect it from every angle.
