The Mission:
Act as a geometric inspector! Measure the distance between opposite sides of various shapes to determine if the lines are perfectly parallel.
Math Skills:
Parallel Lines: Understanding that parallel lines always remain the same distance apart and never intersect.
Quadrilateral Properties: Identifying parallel sides in squares, rectangles, trapezoids, and irregular shapes.
Measurement Logic: Testing distance consistency.
How to Play:
Click to select two opposite sides of the shape on the screen.
A dotted measurement line will appear. Drag this line back and forth along the shape.
Observe carefully: Does the length of the measurement line change? If it changes, the sides are not parallel!
Click the Parallel or Not Parallel button. Once you evaluate all sides, click the Next Shape button for a new challenge!
