• The Mission: 

  You are the chef at a busy pizzeria! You need to serve a combined portion of pizza. However, you have two different pizzas with different slice sizes (e.g., one cut in halves, one in thirds). You cannot add them until you slice them into equal-sized pieces (Common Denominator).

  
  

• Math Skills:

  • Adding Fractions: Adding fractions with unlike denominators (e.g., 1/2+1/3).

  • Common Denominators: Finding the Lowest Common Multiple (LCM) to make slice sizes compatible.

  • Fraction Logic: Understanding that you can only add parts that are the same size.

    
    

• How to Play:

  1. Analyze the Slices: You will see two pizzas representing a math problem (e.g., 1/2+1/4).

  2. Slice Them Up: You cannot add "halves" to "quarters". Click the "+" button under the pizzas to cut them into more pieces.

  3. Match the Size: Keep slicing until the bottom number (Denominator) is the same for both pizzas (e.g., turn 1/2into 2/4).

  4. Visualize the Sum: Now that the slices are the same size, you can count the total.
