The Mission:

Break down a large surd (square root) stone into its simplest form by finding its largest perfect square factor and extracting a gem!

Math Skills:

• Simplifying Surds: Reducing square roots to their simplest radical form.

• Factorization: Finding factor pairs for a given number.

• Perfect Squares: Identifying numbers that have whole number square roots (e.g., 4, 9, 16, 25).

How to Play:

1. Click the large stone to reveal floating bubbles containing factor pairs.

2. Click the floating pair that contains the largest perfect square factor.

3. The stone will split into two smaller stones. Click the small stone that is a perfect square to extract a red gem!

4. Watch the stones merge to form the final simplest surd answer. Click the Next Stone button to continue. (If you make a mistake, click the Retry button).
