The Mission:

The minute hand is invisible! You must deduce which 15-minute slice the minute hand is in by carefully observing the exact angle of the hour hand.

Math Skills:

• Reading Clocks: Understanding the structure of an analog clock.

• Proportional Reasoning: Knowing that as the minute hand moves through 60 minutes, the hour hand moves proportionally between two hour marks.

• Angle Estimation: Estimating fractions of an angle.

How to Play:

1. Look closely at the purple hour hand on the clock. Notice if it is closer to the current hour or the next hour.

2. If you need help, click the Show Magic Specs (Hint) button! This reveals guide flags showing exactly where the hour hand starts (0 min) and ends (60 min).

3. Choose one of the four 15-minute quarter slices from the grid below.

4. Click Confirm to reveal the invisible minute hand and see the exact time!
