Sushi Fractions: Fractions to Decimals

The Mission:

You are a sushi chef serving hungry math lovers! Serve the correct sushi plates by converting the floating fractions into equivalent decimals or expanded fractions before they get impatient!


Math Skills:

  • Equivalent Fractions: Converting fractions to have denominators of 10 or 100.

  • Fractions to Decimals: Translating a fraction form into its decimal format (e.g., 1/2=0.5).

  • Expanded Form: Breaking down decimals into tenths and hundredths.


How to Play:

  1. Observe the fraction floating above the sushi in the center of the screen.

  2. Look at the three plate choices at the bottom, which display different equivalent values or decimals.

  3. Drag the sushi onto the correct matching plate to serve it.

  4. If you get stuck, click the glowing Hint button for a helpful clue! Once correctly served, click the Next button to serve the next customer.
