Dual Scale Detective
The Mission:
Read the measurement on a ruler that displays both centimetres (cm) and millimetres (mm) simultaneously!
Math Skills:
Reading Dual Scales: Interpreting measurements where the major ticks are centimeters and the minor ticks are millimeters.
Unit Conversion: Understanding the relationship between cm and mm.
Composite Measurement: Expressing a length in two ways: as "cm and mm" and as a total "mm".
How to Play:
Look at exactly where the red arrow is pointing on the ruler. If it is too small to see, click the Zoom In (🔍) button to magnify the ruler!
In the first input row, type the measurement using both units (cm and mm).
In the second input row, type the total measurement using only millimeters.
Click the Check Answer button. If your inputs are correct, they will turn green, and a new round will start!
